The Gaelic Society of Toronto Online Ceilidh
December 18, 2020
Join us Friday, December 18th at 7:30p.m. EST
Our VERY special guest for this evening is Cathy Ann MacPhee, renowned Gaelic singer originally from Isle of Barra. Wear your festive clothes – ugly sweaters, reindeer ears, whatever suits you! – and enjoy an evening of Christmas Carols in Gaelic! A pdf song booklet will be emailed to all registrants in advance. We would like to hear your stories of your Christmas and New Year traditions in your family or your country and, if you have a story, song, poem etc., we invite you to share in whatever form you choose.
At the end of the evening, we’ll lift a glass together (what’s in it is your choice) and wish each other well into the next year. Please register and join us! Zoom link will be sent out to everyone in advance with the song booklet.
A Cèilidh is all about community and coming together! If you have a story, a song, or an instrument you play, we invite you to contribute – skill level is not the important thing at a Cèilidh, so simply join and tell, sing or play! Most of all, we invite you to contribute with your presence and join us!
Simply fill out the form on our website and we will send you the Zoom link to join in online and the (toll) phone # to call in. Don’t have a computer? Call in and join – sort of like a call-in radio show!
