VE Day 80 Ottawa

The Sons of Scotland Pipe Band of Ottawa welcome pipers, drummers, and guests to join them in Ottawa to help mark the 80th anniversary of the Victory in Europe Day. 80 pipers will line Wellington Street starting at 3 pm at the Canadian War Museum and each play a tune of their choosing for 1 minute and at 5 pm the last piper will play at the National War Memorial. The pipers will be joined by 20 drummers at the War Memorial to play some tunes at 5:30 pm before heading to Deacon Brodie’s Pub for a tune and a reception.
